It’s okay to fail

Society tells us we have to be great at everything we do. That’s a lie. 🤯

It’s okay to try something new and be bad at it. It’s okay to fail.

I was recently featured in the Bakersfield 20 under 40 people to watch. One of the questions they asked me was “What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?” I thought back to some advice I was given in college, when considering a path for my future. It might seem a little harsh, but I am grateful for that advice and getting me leveled in my future.

You will fail in life. But it’s what you do after you fail that is important. Life doesn’t always go as planned and sometimes we do not always get what we want. There is a greater good that is guiding us through life and has bigger plans for us than we will ever know.

We’ve planted pumpkins for 3 years and this year we tried a new spot. It was a mistake.

We tried something new and it was terrible.

We don’t have many pumpkins at all this year. But because of our failure, we are planning for bigger and better things for next year.

one row of our giants,

lots of empty rows and dead plants too.

We have big ideas that we wouldn’t have thought to do unless we failed this year.

The hardest part is not knowing the bigger plans and failing at something we may have wanted so badly. The struggles and hardships we endure, make us stronger and build us to be tougher than we would have ever been without the pain and failure.

Life doesn’t always go as planned and that’s okay.

I am sure we all have an example of a time in our lives we failed and grew from that.

Until Next Time,

Almond Girl
